My Story

"My journey into the mobile app industry started in 2011 when I decided to give up my well paid 9-5 job and enter a TV show on the BBC called "Be Your Own Boss"

It was 2007 and Steve Jobs announced the launch of the iPhone and being a bit of an Apple 'FanBoy' I made sure I was in London on launch day getting my hands on this new device and my goodnesses I was so... disappointed it did half what I wanted, it was crap and I gave it away.. THE END

2008 came along and Apple launched the App Store and for me this was a game changer, I was so excited at the potential this App Store had and I spent every spare hour I had learning, coding and putting apps in the App Store and continued to do this for 3 years solid.

What happened next I hear you ask!

I am glad you asked.. sit back and get comfy, I was driving home from a long day at my 9-5 and as per usual I had Radio 1 on and stuck in traffic. I was listening to Greg James doing an interview with the Innocent Drinks Co-Founder Richard Reed about his new TV show on the BBC called "Be Your Own Boss"

Richard had a a pot of cash and was looking for people with business ideas to invest in.

I ended up getting to the final of the TV show and getting 5 minutes of fame on TV (I was even recognised in Tescos once).

My mobile app agency was born and in just 5 years the company grew to over 40 full-time staff, had number 1 apps in over 140 countries, a myriad of awards including best fitness app and work featured by Apple & Google most days.

"Sometimes Life hits in you the head like a brick"

It was late 2015, my marriage had broken down, I decided to move out of my family home and stay in a local hotel, I took time away from the business and I suffered with mental health, I struggled to face people and often broke down in tears.

After a few months like this my business partner & "best friend" had enough and got together with the investors and voted me out of my own company, yep I was fired from my own company.

This hit me hard and I gave up on everything, I become very ill and suffered from panic attacks and anxiety for around 2 years.  During this time I also lost my father but the last few hours I spent with him gave me a kick up the arse to get myself better and get back on my feet.

"It's a Marathon not a sprint"

To keep my mind sharp and reduce the anxiety I started to run, I loved it infact I loved it so much I ended up running a number of races including the London Marathon and I felt back in charge of my mind again, my passion had come back and I was buzzing with ideas and excitement.

I focused my time on doing some mobile app consultant work for just over a year to ensure bills are paid and I could plan what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it, I started reading again and listening to podcasts ( shout out to Mills from Us Two ) he really helped me get through all this.

The next chapter...

So its 2020 and here I am... I feel more passionate about the mobile app industry than ever before, I feel stronger mentally, fitter and focused. I have made some great choices and lots of mistakes but the last few years I can now look back and learn from those, I don't regret anything I am totally focused on moving forward and building great mobile products for individuals, start-ups and large brands all over the world.

This is my story so far and I am super excited to experience lots more chapters. Thank you for reading and please feel free to email me at even if you just want to say Hi

I help individuals, start-ups and businesses design, build & launch great mobile apps

With over 10 years experience in the App Industry and running my own mobile app agency I have worked with some of the biggest brands in the world including Walkers, Will-i-Am, Slendertone, Exon Mobile, BBC and many others.

I have worked with start-ups and had my work featured by Apple and Google, I built an egg timer for fun and it had over 1m downloads, I built a fitness app that knocked Nike of the top spot.

I love to be part of any app project from the early discovery and research stages all the way through to design, development, launch and beyond.

I also offer a free mobile app consultation where I can validate your idea, answer any questions you may have and help with getting your product to market.

Every single day I get told an "I have the best app idea"  and then shortly after that I am then told "if you build it for FREE I will pay you double when it makes money"   some of the ideas I am told are fantastic and some are.. shocking.

I love to help anyone I can get from idea to app store  and no matter what part of the stage you are at I can help you get the idea out of your head and on to paper, the planning, raising investment,  design, development the launch and then marketing the app and showing the world.
